About the Recipe
This is a go-to side dish or salad for our meal times, it is easy to prepare and can replace things like potatoes, rice etc. Try it out and it might become your family's favorite too!

Ingredients
130g Bulgur Wheat
300ml – Hot Water/ Any Stock
5g – Garam Masala
5g – Coriander Powder
5g – Cumin seeds
Garlic – 1 clove
Salt to taste
Knob of butter (or oil)
Add any vegetables you like. Try avoiding watery vegetables like tomatoes and courgette/squashfamily as they tend to leave a lot of water and make it soggy.
I used Carrots, Onions, Broccoli, French Beans and Kale.
Preparation
Heat a pan, add knob of butter (or oil) add cumin seeds, roughly chopped garlic sauté for 30 secs and add onions, beans and carrots and cook for about 5 mins then add a little salt to speed up cooking.
Then add broccoli and kale and cook another 5 mins and then add bulgur wheat and pour boiling hot water/stock and cover and cook for 7 to 9 mins on low simmering heat.
With the chicken stock you will get more in depth flavour but if you are a vegan (use veg stock) trust me it's amazing too as you get warm hints of spices and flavours to round up that palette.
Once done fork it through and serve piping hot or save it for next day and you can eat as cold salad too. Try it and you will love it.
